Meet the Team

Maria Hopp, M.D.

Dr. Maria Hopp grew up in the Littleton, Colorado area and has lived here for much of her life. She began her college education at the Colorado School of Mines and graduated from the University of Houston. She completed her medical education at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. Dr. Hopp moved back to the Denver area and did her family practice residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. She has been working in the Littleton community for over 20 years.

Dr. Hopp loves working with all types of patients. She is married with three grown children and lives in Littleton, CO. Her interests include running, biking and cooking healthy food. Recently, Dr. Hopp took up the practice of meditative yoga. She loves to read and her favorite book is The Alchemist.

Savanna Klimesh – Fitness Coordinator & Health Coach

Savanna Klimesh is the clinic’s Fitness Coordinator and Health Coach. Her role includes supporting clients with implementing healthy lifestyle changes, developing exercise routines, and providing  nutrition counseling. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Education, with an emphasis in Fitness and Global Health. Savanna is an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor as well as an Action Certified Personal Trainer. She is pursuing certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine as a functional medicine health coach.

She has several years experience teaching, designing and implementing a variety of health programs to a diverse clientele, including college students, elderly clients and everything in between. Savanna spends her free time in the Colorado outdoors running, biking, rock climbing, paddle boarding and hiking.

Dave – Office Manager

Dave is one of the founding members of TLC and works as the clinic’s Office Manager. Much of Dave’s work is off-site, keeping the books and managing other business activities. He is a true Colorado native. Dave grew up in Aurora and attended Colorado School of Mines. He is an avid skier, cyclist, speedskater and general outdoor enthusiast.

After suffering a torn meniscus and achieving a full recovery through Platelet Rich Plasma treatment, Dave wanted to get involved with TLC. He enjoys being part of a clinic that helps patients who feel they have no other options and have not improved with a traditional approach to medicine.

Blake – Medical Assistant

Blake is TLC’s Medical Assistant. She is from Valdez, Alaska (the snow capital of the United States). Blake has been a medical assistant since 2012, working in a variety of outpatient medical settings. She is currently a student at Arapahoe Community College pursuing nursing. She has two children ages 6 and 3 and lives with her husband in Littleton. Blake loves all the sunshine Colorado has to offer and is very excited to call it home.

Blake has a passion for developing relationships with patients and seeing them succeed in their health and fitness goals. Her favorite service we offer at TLC is the Vampire Facial®.

In her free time, Blake can be found shopping, listening to music and watching her kids grow up & play sports.

Austin – Patient Care Specialist & Referral Clerk

Austin works as member of the patient care team at TLC. He grew up in Littleton, Colorado and is a graduate of Dakota Ridge High School. In high school he was an active member of the school band, playing the mellophone and the French horn. He enjoys participating in community service including regularly volunteering at a summer camp for children and families affected by cancer.

Austin’s favorite part of working at TLC is spending time with his co-workers and participating in a team environment to help patient’s solve their healthcare issues. A fun fact about Austin is his favorite healthy food is sliced apples with peanut butter. When not at TLC, Austin enjoys playing video games and snowboarding.

Ethan – Medical Scribe

Ethan is part of the medical scribe team at TLC, working directly with Dr. Hopp to document patient visits and help increase the efficiency of the clinic. He is an experienced medical scribe working for a number of years both at TLC and Denver Health. He is a native of San Angelo, Texas and graduated from Colorado Christian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Ethan says that he enjoys working at a place that helps people find out what has been afflicting them when other work ups have been unsuccessful. Ethan is in the process of applying to medical schools, with the goal of becoming a physician. He loves being in the outdoors skiing, hunting, backpacking and hiking in his free time.

Sophie – Medical Fitness Specialist

Sophie has a lifelong passion for living a healthy and active lifestyle, beginning in high school when she was on the school’s swim and tennis team. Since then she has been a “mover” exploring the great outdoors cycling, hiking, backpacking and kayaking with her husband and huskies. She specializes in clients who have chronic conditions and illnesses including post-surgical patients working to minimize physical, emotional and psychological symptoms. She provides a positive environment with lots of encouragement and motivation! The glass is always half full in her mind leaving you with only one option – success as the end result!

Sophie’s educational background includes a BS in Physical Education K-12 / Adult Fitness from Metropolitan State University in Denver and an MA in Pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado. She has since earned several certifications including: ACSM – Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Medicine Level II credential and certified Health and Wellness Coach.
